FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Hockey history will be on display at the 2010 Allan Cup A large display from the Hockey Hall of Fame, including the Stanley Cup, will be in Fort St. John for the Allan Cup. Thanks to Troyer Ventures in Fort St. John, residents will get free access to the Hockey Hall of Fame Display during the Allan Cup. The display will include a special visit by the Stanley Cup and Olympic Gold Medalist Denny Morrison. The Troyer Ventures Hockey Hall of Fame display will be open Tuesday April 20th to Saturday April 24th from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Stanley Cup will visit the North Peace Arena on Wednesday April 21st and will be on display from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Olympic Gold Medalist Denny Morrison, and his brother Jay Morrison, will attend the Allan Cup on Tuesday April 20th. We will announce more details about their visit shortly. Displays from the Hockey Hall of Fame include; Allan Cup History, the Original Six, Team Canada, Local Hockey History, the Conn Smythe Trophy and Art Ross Trophy. The display will also include several interactive games for the young and young at heart. The entire display wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for the generous support of Steve Troyer and Troyer Ventures. Troyer Ventures has made a donation in excess of $20,000 in order for this event to happen. Volunteers are still needed for the 2010 Allan Cup. Help is needed with security and ushers. If you can help, please visit 2010allancup.ca. The 102nd edition of Canada’s oldest amateur hockey championship will be held in Fort St. John April 19th-24th, 2010. Senior AAA hockey teams from all over Canada will compete with the host Fort St. John Senior Flyers in hopes of becoming Canada’s senior hockey champions.
